At Konny, our ideas don’t start in a boardroom.
They start in real life — in reviews, DMs, and those small parenting moments that make you think, “There has to be a better way."
One day in 2020, I was putting my little one down for a nap and I saw a message on Instagram: “My baby keeps chewing on the carrier straps. Could you please make drool pads?”
I smiled because… just ten minutes earlier, my own carrier straps were completely soaked. My baby had just entered the full-on drooling stage. And like many babies, he loved chewing on the shoulder straps.
So I started thinking.
How can I solve this — not just for myself, but for all of us?
So I started thinking.
How can I solve this — not just for myself, but for all of us?
I knew one thing for sure. I didn’t want to make something that only works when attached to a carrier. I wanted something you could use anytime. Something practical, beautiful, and reasonably priced. Something that makes you feel, “I’m really glad I bought this.”
Since babies would be using it, I first searched for soft, lightweight cotton. I made a sample that wrapped around the front, sides, and back so it could be worn comfortably while using the carrier. And that’s when I realized something simple but important.
A carrier drool pad and a bib do the same job — they catch drool. So why do we need two separate products? What if one bib could do both?
That idea felt right. I designed it in a rounded, rolling shape. So when one side gets wet, you can simply turn it and use the dry side. (Because we all know how fast babies can soak through a bib.)
But there was still something missing. The cotton sample absorbed well, but it didn’t dry quickly. It became heavy and damp — not ideal.

Then I looked at the Konny Carrier fabric. It was lightweight yet strong, quick to absorb and quick to dry. It helps inhibit bacterial growth and is made without harsh chemicals or fluorescent whitening agents. It’s already tested and certified for safety. I thought, why not use the fabric we already trust?
nce I found the right fabric, I started refining the fit. It needed to work with the carrier and still wrap softly around a baby’s shoulders on its own. The shape became more important than I first expected.
And then a funny thought came to me. A dog cone! You know that soft recovery collar dogs wear? The gentle cone shape that naturally sits around the neck. I wondered if the bib could feel the same way. Slightly rounded, so it settles comfortably instead of lying flat.
When the second sample arrived, refined with that new shape, I felt my heart flutter. It finally felt right. And that’s how the Konny Bib came to life.
