How far are you in your parenting journey?

Over 1 year!

Tell us a little about your story. Give us a self intro about you and your family!

I am a proud mama bear of a 3 years old toddler. My family took a while to get started as we had to navigate our infertility journey right before COVID started. We happily welcomed our first baby during the peak of COVID and he's a happy bouncing little man. Though when I say bouncing, it's only when he's not velcroed to my hip. He does tend to love big hugs from his mama (which I don't mind at all) but there are days my arms and my pregnant belly are definitely suffering. I am currently expecting my second little IVF miracle in October and I cannot be more excited. I am expecting a baby girl this time around and so happy to finished my set.

Tell us about your parenting journey. What are some challenges you've faced? What was something you wish you knew ahead of time?

There are so many things that have been a challenge from just conceiving to navigating through motherhood isolated during COVID. My son was born at term but very small and has always struggled to put on weight and height. He is at the 1st percentile in both weight and height. His physical growth does always continue to concern me but he is very bright and happy so that does relieve some of that anxiety.

One of the biggest things I was always warned about and try my hardest to remember is that you should never compare your children to others. But it's definitely been a challenge for me as I am always just so concerned about his growth progress. There are days where his eating habits has me at my wits end. Unless I have him sitting on my lap and I am physically feeding him, he can be content with not eating much at all.

What is your experience with babywearing? Have you used our Konny Baby Carrier during your newborn to toddler phase? How was it?

As mentioned previously, I have a velcro baby. He loves being held ever since he was little. He is very cautious and when he is in a group or an environment he's not used to, he will cower between my legs and peek out to ensure it's safe. If he's being held he will bury his face into my shoulder like an ostrich going to sleep. We have used baby wearing a lot even now when he's 3. I have used the Konny baby carrier during the newborn/infant phases. Now in the toddler phase, we use a hip seat carrier more so that he can turn around more and have more freedom while still being close to us, just like he likes. I absolutely love baby wearing and can't wait to baby wear for the next baby too.

What benefits have you experienced from baby wearing?

Baby wearing has been great for peace of mind, freedom for both myself and for the baby, and just a wonderful bonding experience. Peace of mind since I always know whete the baby is when I need to do errands and can just look down at baby. Freedom for both baby and I to move around. And just bonding from endless contact.

I love your products and can't wait to use them again for the next baby coming next month!
