Buying High Quality Baby Bibs Online: Premium vs. Budget in 5 Checks

By Konny · Published Oct 23, 2026 · Last updated

A high quality baby bib passes five checks, whatever it costs. So the best bib for you may be a premium single bib or a budget multipack. Before you buy bibs online, check:

  • how well it soaks up drool
  • how fast it dries
  • whether it keeps its shape after washing
  • how it fastens around the neck
  • what one bib costs

A higher price is worth paying when the bib beats a cheaper one on those checks. You can see Konny's own bibs on its bib collection page.

Budget and premium bibs, side by side

Little Hometown, a bib brand, gives a typical price of $10 to $20 for a premium bib and $5 to $10 for a budget bib in its own list of bib brands. It suggests using some of each.

Fabric and fit in a high quality bib

Babylist, a baby registry and review site, makes three points about fabric and fit:

  • Cotton bibs are more likely to lose their shape over time, and might not last past a year.
  • Silicone bibs wipe clean. They tend to last a long time, which is why they are often the most expensive.
  • An adjustable neckline gives a bib a longer life.

With more bibs, a clean one is close at hand

Most multipacks give the best value and let you keep a clean bib in each room, and a good one is a bargain per use (MomLovesBest, a parenting review site). Compare a pack's price per bib with single bibs, and run the same checks on the bibs in the pack.

Running the five checks on two Konny bibs

Konny founder Erin Lim designed the first Konny Bib after a parent asked for drool pads for a baby carrier. She wanted a bib that could do the job of a carrier drool pad. In her words, the aim was "something practical, beautiful, and reasonably priced" (the story of the Konny Bib).

The Konny Bib Rolling and the Konny Bib Piped Edge are both 360° rotating bibs. Konny makes both from SoftBreeze™, its signature fabric of 62% polyester, 33% cotton and 5% spandex.

  • Drool and drying: Konny describes the fabric as fast-absorbing and quick-drying. When one part of the bib gets wet, you turn it to the side or back, and a dry part sits in front.
  • Shape after washing: Konny makes the fabric to hold its shape through frequent washing.
  • Fastening: both close with plastic snaps. Each bib has a 10.2-inch (26 cm) neck circumference with the snaps shut.
  • Price per bib: a Rolling bib costs $6.99, and a Piped Edge bib costs $7.99.

As with any bib, check these points after a few washes: how much drool it takes, how fast it dries, and whether it keeps its shape.

Reading the care label

Check the care instructions on the product page to see how much work a bib adds to laundry day. For the Rolling and Piped Edge, Konny recommends a cold machine wash and air drying in the shade. Konny says not to dry clean, wash at high temperatures, bleach, machine dry or iron.

Which bib is best for you

  • If you need many bibs at once, a budget multipack may suit you.
  • If you want fewer bibs, a pricier single bib may suit you, as long as it passes the same checks.
  • If you want a bib you can wipe clean after messy meals, a silicone bib may suit you.
  • If you want a fabric bib for drool that you rotate around the neck to bring a dry part to the front, and you can cold wash and air dry it, a Konny Bib Rolling or Piped Edge may suit you.
